Featured Artist: Earmark

1. Tell me a bit about yourself (name, location, affiliations, personal stuff).

Bridgette, San Diego, CA

2. What inspires you? Where do your ideas come from?

Everyday I am inspired, be it either a person or a place or a sound or smell, everything can be inspiring. Nature and Travel are probably my largest inspirations!

3. Why should people buy handmade?

Nothing beats a handmade item, they are always made with love and you know it is one of a kind! Not to mention they are usually made with items of higher quality than your run of the mill items.

4. Where do you think you'll be in five years?

In five years I would be happy to be doing what I am doing. I have been doing this for the past five years now and it has increased ten fold since the first year. So I am hoping that in the year 2012 (wow), I will be happily and comfortably successful, hopefully I will have had time to see the world here and there and who knows maybe a child, but that is to be determined at a much later date!

5. What is your favourite thing in your shop and why?

Currently, I think it has to be our adventure card set. It is my favorite colelction with the fun imagery and quotes to live by. I hope it evokes a sense of travel and adventure in all that read them.

Very good question about why to buy hand-made things! That adds some additional interest to the story.

There is a time for everything,
a season for every activity
under heaven. A time to be
born and a time to die. A
time to plant and a time to
harvest. A time to kill and
a time to heal. A time to
tear down and a time to
rebuild. A time to cry and
a time to laugh. A time to
grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones
and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a
time to turn away. A time to
search and a time to lose.
A time to keep and a time to
throw away. A time to tear
and a time to mend. A time
to be quiet and a time to
speak up. A time to love
and a time to hate. A time
for war and a time for peace.

Best wishes for continued ascendancy,
Dr. Howdy
