Carmen I. Hurt, of indyRtist on Etsy, paints such bright and cheerful paintings on canvas and unique digital imagery. She also creates fabulous, hand painted adirondack chairs and rockers for children.

I love images of the moon and trees so this painting, entitled Night of the Big Moon, grabbed my attention right away.


My son loves giraffes and he pointed this chair out. How great would a chair just for your little one look on your veranda or covered patio? (This chair is intended for indoor use.)


This painting, entitled Father And Son, was inspired by the artist's son when he was stationed in Iraq.

Sneak Peak At My Newest Etsy Shop Offering

I have a new line of signs I am about to post in my Etsy shop but I thought I'd give my blog readers a sneak peak first.

Are you looking for the perfect gift for the new baby in your life?
Is your son or daughter getting his or her own room for the first time?

Let me design a personalized name sign for you. Each sign is unique in it's design. No two will be exactly alike.

Most of the design work is done before hand in Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop so you can approve it before any wood is cut. My name signs are painted on Belizean pine using latex and/or acrylic paints and the size of the sign will vary depending on your child's name.

All signs are sealed for durability with a clear protective spray.
