... And in that region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear. And the angel said to them,
"Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people; for to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a babe wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger." And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased!"

My English is far from perfect but I hope I'll menage to make myself understood (a little...).There are tough years when Christmas comes, you don't have a job and neither money for presents. Should you feel unhappy, miserable? Not at all!!!!
When I was little and my dearest grandma was living with us, she used to describe, at my request, a typical Christmas Eve in her young years: children were gathering happily in groups and wandering on the narrow streets, in the big snow, stopping in front of each gate and singing Christmas carols. In exchage they received apples, nuts, simple homemade cookies and they were unbilievably happy with those "treasures" growing in their shoulder bags. Later at night, family and friends came over, sit around the table singing Christmas carols, feeling happy to be together. LOVE was in the air and on the table: homemade wine, apples, nuts and cookies.
I lived to know what means to not have money for presents: at first, I felt miserable; then I accepted the situation and then, suddenly, I felt happy for having my family, my friends in health, I felt sorry and love for all those who don't have a family around their tables. I suddenly remembered what really Christmas means: a child was born, a child who grew up and taught us only good things, especially how to put ourselves in others' shoes, learn to know others, to understand them, to appreciate or even love them or at least, to tolerate them.
Your real present is LOVE for others, warmth in your heart, a bright smile in your face and positive energy given away for the OTHERS. This is your real wealth that will make you feel happy, much more precious than money!
Merry Christmas to our host and many thanks for choosing our items and displaying them on her blogspot.
Merry Christmas to all the talented people who created those beautiful items and to YOU ALL!
